Production Begins On New CG-Animated TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES From Seth Rogen And Nickelodeon

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are getting a new feature-length CG-animated reincarnation from Nickelodeon and Point Grey Pictures. Production is underway with Jeff Rowe (Gravity Falls, Connected, Disenchantment) set to direct from a script by Brendan O’Brian (Neighbors, Sorority Rising, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates). Plot details are hidden somewhere in a NYC sewer but fans have long endured the fanfare since its birth in 1984 as a Mirage Comics publication, about a quartet of turtles and a rat, transmogrified by a mysterious chemical and raised in New York City’s underground, trained in the ancient art of the ninja to become the city’s secret heroes. The film, yet to be titled, marks the Nickelodeon Animation Studio’s first-ever CG theatrical production. Vivacious events over at SXSW this week have gladly left room for mention of AMC network’s forthcoming series, Preacher. Comic Adap, PREACHER, Lands At AMC Television

It’s become very clear that AMC TV is the go-to for a lot of TV viewers favorable of their favorite genres, and much to the delight in recent months with the addition of the comic book adaptation, Preacher. Accordingly, executive producer Seth Rogen enthusiastically made the announcement on Twitter that the network has picked up the series with word from Deadline that a May 2016 premiere may be in the works for up to ten episodes. Rogen also debuted the new poster art for the show which you may view below. Preacher is based on the Vertigo comic of the same name, which follows Jesse Custer, a Texas preacher who was given the ability to control others, after he came into contact with Genesis, a creature spawned by an angel and a demon.
