Pathaan, Siddharth Anand’s latest contribution to Yash Raj Films’ “Spy Universe,” will continue in the upcoming sequel, Tiger VS Pathaan, filming next year in January. Multiple reports online are confirming the news along with the expected returns of Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) and Salman Khan. Quote via NDTV: “YRF isn’t talking about this project just yet because they have grand plans to announce it in a massive way but a lot of work has already started on Tiger vs Pathaan. We are expecting the film to start rolling in January 2024. War director Siddharth Anand is sparing little ridiculousness in the fun he looks to exude with his new action adventure, Pathaan. Celebrating fifty years of success for Yash Rah Films, Shah Rukh Khan toplines the film next to Deepika Padukone and John Abraham for the film’s January 25 release in theaters and IMAX, bolstered to be YRF’s first Dolby Cinema release and the first Bollywood film to be shot with IMAX cameras. Per Regal Cinemas: Somewhere in the dystopian Middle East, grand houses that once housed the wealthy are now homes of the city’s most-dangerous criminals. An undercover cop, his ex-con, and others will take down the drug lord who killed his own father. The film will release in Hindi, as well as Telugu and Tamil dub. Big things are abound for leading man Shah Rukh Khan and anyone following his work. That includes upcoming action-adventure, Pathaan, which joins Khan with hitmaker Siddharth Anand who came in hot in the last decade with Hirthik Roshan starrers, Bang Bang and War, the latter which also featured Tiger Shroff. Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone (xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage) and John Abraham (Attack). There’s no direct plot description available from the film’s home base at YRF but the trailer above comes English-subbed, which should do plenty to bring context to Khan’s latest ambitious spy thriller opening on January 25, 2023.
