Black Site helmer Tom Paton is officially August-bound with this year’s 20th Arrow FrightFest London setting the stage for the UK premiere of his new war-ripped action horror, Stairs. The official website for the annual festival is up and running as is Paton’s own unveiling of a hearty, official red-band trailer and poster. A group of mercenaries are sent into Eastern Europe in the middle of a civil war to retrieve intel, but shortly after the mission the unit finds themselves trapped on a never-ending stairwell; forced to climb or die. To survive, they must revisit their past sins if they ever want to get off. The film blurs the lines of action and horror, creating a visually unique movie that deals with time travel, the repercussions of violence and consequence.
