THE HIT LIST: September 30, 2019

I’m eager for a night out later this week if I can make it happen. It would be my fourth night out with friends this year too so, it’s sorely needed. For now, time for another pitch of some awesome stunt reels and action performance content from around the web. I’m not even halfway done with the stuff I need to get finished with but it’s been two weeks and so it’s definite time for another installment of the Hit List to help keep things kinetic and moving for our devoted stunt talents out there. Actor Rob Mars is up first in the first playlist, comprised of the usual action acting, stunt performance and demo reels from some of today’s best and brightest, and in Mars’ case, pretty damn hard hitting! Peter Jang Makes A Move With Official PAWNS Trailer

Actor and filmmaker Peter Jang’s Simplicity Pictures banner will have plenty to present to the film community at large with a sizeable package of shortfilms and proofs going forward. One includes Pawns, featuring Jang opposite actor and stunt performer Rustic B. as two top-line hitmen manipulated by their dueling criminal underworld bosses to fight to the death as a means of avoiding all out war. The pending proof of concept, which also stars Jeff Hohimer, Eduardo Roman, Mary Vincenti and actor and stunt multihyphenate, Simon Rhee (Best Of The Best, Best Of The Best 2), is also what currently precedes its own feature-film project in the form of King as we reported back in January. More developments are needed, but the trailer now running for Pawns ought to suffice while you can still check out his recent release of brutal crime preface, Nothing Is Sacred, which also stars Christian Howard.

Independent crime drama short, Nothing Is Sacred, marks another milestone effort for actor Peter Jang who also writes and directs. The project is now available for viewing on YouTube which also signals the launch of his own production label, Simplicity Pictures, which is currently home to a number of concepts Jang has been brewing in-house for some time now. Nothing Is Sacred is just one of them as it now stands to grow into prospective feature thriller, Mama. In ten minutes time, the proof of concept lends a grim, dark and brutal tale to the masses about a criminal underling who finds himself at a precipice when a fatal revelation forces him to retaliate against his employer with the help of a cop playing both sides of the law.
