BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Nabs Eisenberg For Lex Luthor And Irons Alfred J. Pennyworth

Well, I spent the past few weeks not writing much of anything about the new Batman vs. Superman movie due to all the rumormongering about actor Ben Affleck (something about a leg injury or whatever), followed by reports of its initial release date pushed back to 2016. Later reports debunked all the fuzz, of course, and rest assured we do, in fact have an earlier release date with a confirmed cast to accompany the film’s place in the developing DC Cinematic Universe, currently with a hopeful Justice League film in addition to actress Gal Gadot‘s confirmed three picture deal as part of the plan toward her standalone Wonder Woman film. SDCC 2013: Warner Bros. Announces Next Man Of Steel Film As Part Of DC Cinematic Universe

According to prior statements made by Man Of Steel star Henry Cavill, a Justice League would not be likely to happen soon unless other films were done to help create the universe to fit the characters. This was particularly the case with The Avengers as it had 2 Iron Man movies, 2 Hulk movies, and initial film installments of Captain America and Thor, both with sequels pending, and largely why The Avengers continues to be so successful. Also, interestingly enough, with Christian Bale retiring the Batsuit with The Dark Knight trilogy helmer Christopher Nolan‘s involvment with the sequel previously unknown at the time, there has also been talk of the next Batman film following the Batman Beyond story seperate from the Batman Nolanverse. Director R.L. Scott To Make Superhero Movie History With THE ALMIGHTY STREET TEAM

R.L. Scott, the director of the upcoming action crime thriller Call Me King is determined to make history for the world of superhero action movies with his next film, The Almighty Street Team. Today’s news with the unveiling the film’s announcement poster sets a milestone for Scott and his team at Shadow Motion Pictures, as it is their first film to be produced under their new banner, Wonder Studios Entertainment. Scott will also provide the screenplay for the film, based on original characters of the independently published comic book, created by Joe Currie, James Mason, Stanley Weaver, Shawn Alleyne and Koran Curtis.
