THE NEW LEGENDS OF MONKEY Set Forth New Season Two Adventures On Netflix August 7
Gerard Johnstone’s Emmy-winning family adventure series, The New Legends Of Monkey, is only the latest televised incarnation of Chinese folklore based on the classic Journey To The West story of legend from author Wu Cheng’en. Following its 2018 Australia/New Zealand premiere via ABC Me and TVNZ 2, the show’s transition to Netflix has now afforded it a second season which will hit the streamer beginning August 7. Hailing from See-Saw Films, The New Legends Of Monkey features Australian-Thai actor Chai Hansen in the title role, along with Tongan talents Luciane Buchanan as Tripitaka, and Josh Thomson as Pigsy, and actress Emilie Cocquerel in the role of Sandy.
