The world of scornful femme fatale-centric vengeance awaits with the entrance of actress Blake Lively for the new film, The Rhythm Section. The studio’s first teaser trailer now online doles out a properly heart-palpitating sample of the suspenseful drama and explosive action that awaits from director Reed Morano’s novel adaptation, made with the James Bond stalwarts at EON Productions.

With production set to commence this Fall, actor Jude Law is now in the running to join Blake Lively for the forthcoming production, The Rhythm Section. Reed Morano is directing with the participation of Paramount in partnership with EON Productions and IM Global, taking from Mark Burnell’s series of “Stephanie Patrick” spy novels published from 1999.
Lively will play the Patrick heroine who ventures on the warpath with a new sense of purpose as a trained assassin when she learns that the airline crash she was supposed to be on that killed her family wasn’t so much an accident. EON’s Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are producing with financing from IM Global whose co-founder Stuart Ford will executive producing along with Greg Shapiro and Mark Burnell.
Paramount will handle worldwide distribution while the producers attempt to plot a potential franchise around the IP. Production locations currently span as far as tje U.S., the U.K., Ireland, Spain, and Switzerland. (Variety)
