Netflix has officially given notice with a trailer for the star studded film Red Notice. A star studded ride across the world, Red Notice features modern Hollywood action royalty in an exciting, comedic chase across the globe, with a target on the back of the greatest art thief in the world. Dwayne Johnson (Jumanji, Black Adam) plays the FBI’s top profiler, John Hartley. Sarah Black, played by Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman, Fast and Furious 6) is the subject of his latest investigation. He teams up with the second greatest in the world art thief, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool, The Hitman’s Bodyguard), to track Sarah. LOL! Well, I plan on seeing Fast And Furious on the evening of Saturday, June 1, since I had other plans this past weekend. But a lot of us just came across something that redefined the word “awesome” for the remainder of the hype around this bit of news. Now, we are well into the month of May going into June, and Justin Lin’s directorial finale of the franchise, Fast And Furious 6, is pretty much obliterating weekend box office records this week after its successful start in the U.K. as Universal gets its continuance into the third trilogy with Fast And Furious 7, to be directed by James Wan. Furthermore, everyone who has been paying attention is pretty much aware of how prevelant Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has become in the franchise since his role in Fast Five as “D.S.S. Agent Luke Hobbs”. No argument here, for there is […]
Some call G.I. Joe: Retaliation a sequel to the 2009 film, G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra. Some call it reboot altogether. I call it a little bit of both, but its definitely a sequel and should be acknowledged as so. Retaliation summarizes a little bit of the first movie before entering the new bilateral storyline that reunites actor Channing Tatum as Duke, with the character Snake Eyes, played by Ray Park, along with Byung Hun-Lee, Arnold Vosloo and Jonathan Pryce reprising their roles as Storm Shadow, Zartan and The President. The film introduces the new heroes, Roadblock, Lady Jaye, Flint, Jinx and General Joe Colton, played respectively by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Adrienne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, Elodie Yung and Bruce Willis with new villain, ex-Joe Firefly, played by Ray Stevenson, and Luke Bracey providing the costume performance for Cobra Commander, voiced by Robert Baker, entirely replacing Joseph Gordon-Levitt from […]
Pro-wrestler. Scorpion King. Bounty hunter. Tooth fairy. Mutant supersoldier. Transformer. Cop. Football coach. Town sheriff. G.I. Joe. Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been a busy man throughout his career, illuminating his enduring versatility as the actor of choice who can sell a movie for the studio lucky enough to work with him. Well, now its time for MGM to have its turn with Paramount Pictures, as Live For Films has rounded up the latest reporting that Johnson will appear in the August 1, 2014 release of co-producer and director Brett Ratner’s HERCULES, produced by Beau Flynn, Barry Levine with Peter Berg, Sarah Aubrey and Jesse Berger serving as executive producers. Johnson will also be joined by an ensemble cast of actors that will include Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, Rebecca Ferguson, Askel Hennie and John Hurt. The film will be based on a screenplay by Ryan Condal and […]
Yahoo! Movies has a new featurette for the upcoming film from Universal Pictures, Fast And Furious 6, directed by Justin Lin, and opening in theaters on May 24, 2013. The clip shows actors Luke Evans , Michelle Rodriguez and Gina Carano discussing their respective takes on the physicality of their characters, including Rodriguez and Carano who go toe-to-toe in what has been described as the female equivalent to the action sequence between Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The sixth installment of the action packed, NOS-loaded franchise also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot and Elsa Pataky, with appearances by Rita Ora and a possible cameo role as the villainous precursor to Fast And Furious 7, played by Jason Statham. Paramount Pictures recently unveiled a new featurette for the upcoming film G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The featurette illustrates the bitter rivalry between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, respectively played by Ray Park and Byung-hun Lee, with Lee, delving into newer dynamics of his character for the sequel to the 2009 movie, G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, from personality, to training in weapons for fight sequences opposite Park on screen. The film, which is slated for a 2D/3D premiere starting March 29, 2013, also stars stars D.J. Cotrona, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, Elodie Yung, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Walton Goggins, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, Arnold Vosloo and voice of John DiMaggio. Poster source:Screenrant The new international trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been released. Like the previous trailers we have seen, including the French international teaser, the footage is mostly more of the same, but is edited with Korean subtitles. What is interesting to me so far is the distinct possibility that Storm Shadow, played by Byung-hun Lee could be siding with the heroes this time around, after his last appearance in the first film. Other than that, I am open to seeing how the film plays out when it hits theaters on its new release date, March 29, 2013, since the pushback of post-production to include 3D conversion, among other reasons. Synopsis via GIJoeMovie.com:: A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: RISE OF COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO, commenced the di Bonaventura production of G.I. JOE: RETALIATION.
