Bryan Singer Is Confirmed To Direct X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Staring Early Next Year

Development is still up in the air for the forthcoming installment of X-Men: Apocalypse, following up filmmaker Bryan Singer‘s 2014 smash-hit, X-Men: Days Of Future Past. According to recent statements made by screenwriter and producer Simom Kinberg, recasting for certain roles may be a possibility depending on where the new film goes, which he also stated could follow-up the 2011 movie, X-Men: First Class. At any rate now, at least one thing is certain with word from Deadline that Singer, with all earlier legal woes cast aside for now, can now follow through on his Twitter announcement last December and hop board to direct the new film which is currently dated for May 27, 2016, courtesy of 20th Century Fox. Actor Togo Igawa as Master Gôtetsu in Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist Energy and expectations are high for the folks over at Assassin’s Fist Limited. Over the last several months as they shot and wrapped up filming in Bulgaria between July 14 and August 24 of this year, the official Facebook page has been delivering a slow and steady stream of teaser photos from the set of the upcoming film, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, including that of actors Shôgen Hwang and Gaku Space as younger versions of characters Gôken and Gôki, actor Akira Koieyama as an older version of Gôken, actress Hyunri as Sayaka and Togo Igawa as Gôtetsu, in addition to The Wolverine co-star Hal Yamanouchi as Senzo. Today was a pretty loaded day with some comic book film news. Notably, a few new photos from Thursday’s installment of Entertainmemt Weekly were unveiled for director Mark Webb‘s upcoming film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is set to release on May 2, 2014. The Columbia Pictures film, starring Andrew Garfield as the title hero opposite actor Jamie Foxx as the new villain, Electro, is expected to make its arrival at the San Diego Comic Con next week. The film also stars Emma Stone, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, Sally Field and Martin Sheen. The latest new clip above features actor Hugh Jackman as the title character, held captive by the Japanese before saving the life of soldier, Yashida, portrayed by actor Ken Yamamura, cast as the younger counterpart of the same much older, bed-ridden character played by actor Hal Yamanouchi. Today we have new promotional posters for director James Mangold‘s upcoming standalone superhero follow-up adventure, The Wolverine. The new posters an international poster and three more sumi-ink posters featuring characters Mariko Yashida, Shingen Yashida and the pre-Silver Samurai warrior, Kenuichio Harada played by Tao Okamoto, Hiroyuki Sanada and Will Yun Lee, respectively. Fans of X-Men get a double dose of Wolverine today as director Bryan Singer shared a set picture of Hugh Jackman dressed the titular, adamantium-clawed superhero from the comic book franchise. With word of the new posters this week comes the action packed international trailer for director James Mangold‘s new film from 20th Century Fox, The Wolverine. Prior to the botched release of the trailer came increments of teaser footage for the trailer that lasted anywhere from 6 seconds to 20 seconds, which director James Mangold ended up having to apologize for. Not to mention the headache adding to the frustration behind Vine reels in the first place, which to me is a bit of a c***tease in the first place, and so that’s partly why I don’t blog about Vine clips for trailers when I would rather just put my energy into sharing all the goods.
