Reel Time: 200+ Kicks With ERIC JACOBUS!

Actor, independent filmmaker and martial artist Eric Jacobus (The Agent, Death Grip, Mortal Kombat Legacy 2) is probably one of the most technical, precise and innovative kickers working in front of a camera. And personally, after seeing his latest reel now available on his YouTube channel for indie action company, The Stunt People, I can’t remember the last time I have seen a reel where a performer did this many kicks in such an evolutionary, story-esque fashion. SKIN TRADE Actors Michael Jai White And Tony Jaa Take Flight In New Training Photos

Progress continues on the filming of director Ekchai Uekrongtham‘s new international action crime thriller, Skin Trade, with new photos trickling from the respective pages of its lead action line-up, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa and Michael Jai White. The biggest news however, comes from recent snapshots featuring Jaa, action director David Ismalone and actor White in training, including stills of Jaa and White staging lunging knees at each other and toward the camera. In addition, White also took to his page this week to share a comparison post detailing some shared similarities with his new found “brother” in filmmaking, which you can read in the following embed. Aspiring martial arts athletes from around the world are continuing to put out some of their best work in the hopes of becoming the next in line to help deliver what is now expected in today’s generation of martial arts athleticism and showmanship. I recently came across a new training reel uploaded on Eclipse Stunts page showcasing members DL MacDonald, Alex Chung, Jonathan Pang and Nibz Manek, with Tyler Williams of Riot A.C.T. and Dennis Lafond of OSS Action Team training at a Scarborough Gym Elites in Ontatio. I have mentioned MacDonald and Williams before on my Facebook page, as they have worked on several projects in the past. So it is always exciting to see new faces added to the mix with any two or more teams. To me, it further illustrates a sense of cohesiveness in the stunt community. When stunt teams collaborate, creativity sprouts, imaginations soar and great things tend to happen. Actor, multi-styled martial arts expert, Zen Do Kai co-founder and martial arts action cinema veteran Richard Norton recently sat down for a segment with Martial Info TV on YouTube, just off of completion of filming for the upcoming film, Mad Max: Fury Road. In the video, Richard highlights several iconic figures in the industry, such as Benny “The Jet” Urquidez and Chuck Norris, while sharing his personal thoughts on the status and importance of integrity in the martial arts world, among stuntmen, students and martial artists alike.
