Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil and her cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
The JAM (Joining All Movement) gym in Reseda, California hosted its annual summer gathering last weekend featuring some of the most notable names in tricking – a dynmaic and stylistic form of stunts, gymnastics, parkour and martial arts. These events are bi-annual with another gathering being prepped for this winter, and with tricking having grown the vast audience it has over the last decade or so, JAM has become one of the leading avenues of this multi-faceted and hybridized physical pastime.
Aspiring martial arts athletes from around the world are continuing to put out some of their best work in the hopes of becoming the next in line to help deliver what is now expected in today’s generation of martial arts athleticism and showmanship. And today’s example comes from none other than the sound track of hip hop duo Black Sheep’s 1991 hit, “The Choice Is Yours”, applied to the latest reel from martial artist, stuntman and tricker Sefa Demirbas hailing all the way from Europe by way of dynamic award-winning German martial arts performance and screenfighting troupe TeamBay (meaning Team 7, with Bay translating from Vietnamese).
Founded by fellow athlete, actor martial arts performer and independent filmmaker Vi-Dan Tran in 2002, the team has seen its evolution between old and new members while nuturing its audience ever since. Its latest attempt at re-emergence this year has featured some new collaborations in film, and even a brand new clothing line of their own, all of which you can learn more about at their official Facebook page in the video’s description.

One such video comes courtesy of twenty-two year old actor Kyle Wayne Cordova from Sacramento, California.
It’s practical when you are in the field competitive martial arts sports and entertainment, to learn about other aspects of film making. And with five years of credits as a stuntman, stunt performer and actor, Jeremy Marinas shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.
Alexandr Gisych, (a.k.a. Shade) recently uploaded a new 17-minute short film titled, Zlatoust, based on the name of his home town in Russia. In the following film, he takes us on a journey, narrating his story while touring his beloved town with his younger brother, Alexey.

Martial artist, tricker and stuntman Daniel Graham (@DanielGraham5) recently posted a few photos of a new shortfilm currently in production called “Death Before Dishonor”, which has now wrapped filming. The new photos include a new teaser banner and a set photo with the cast, a literal who’s-who in the martial arts/stunt/film community, with fellow performers Jeremy Marinas, Jonathan Eusebio, Kyle McLean and Daniel Bernhardt.The upcoming action short film will feature both hand-to-hand combat and sword fighting, and will hopefully see a release before the end of the month.
