Actor and filmmaker Troy Sandford is currently out and about with a new episode of his interview series via his Movie Martial Arts YouTube channel. His latest brings actress and martial artist Zhou Xiaofei (Ip Man 4, The Grandmaster) in focus for an hour-long discussion about her career, her roots in martial arts, experiences working with the likes of Yuen Woo-Ping and Michelle Yeoh, and much more. Feel free to open up the player below seperately for a summary of the interview, and look at the timestamps in the description. Otherwise, enjoy!
It’s always a funny thing when people ask me what my thoughts are about certain selections I add to the Hit List or films I give positive reviews on – funny because for one, reviews should speak for themselves. The same especially goes for the former, really, in that usually if I see a video that I like and I like it enough to put in the energy to write something about it, it’s normally because I liked it. ? With another year well into its circuitry and film festivals abound, I’ve adequately applied this mindset in my coverage of Troy’s Team, led by multifaceted stunt performer, trainer, actor and filmmaker Troy Sandford. His independent webseries, The Challenger, was an amply entertaining sampler that showcases what he and his crew are capabable of, and since I began discussing Sandford in 2016, I’m honestly hoping that having worked and trained with […]
I’m actually a little upset that I came across a few of this week’s entries as late as I did, particularly having tried to been on top of it. Such is why I need at least two more of me (especially since one could use the extra sleep ?). At any rate, tireless and forever tired as I am (a phrase coined by my friend Philippe), my quest continues to help bring notable independent content and stunt talent to the spotlight per our weekly vehicle here at the Hit List. Let’s load up on paramount stunt talent with the latest stunt and training reels from today’s talented stunt performers beginning with Dylan Rampulla, Jessica Barfoot, LeRoyal Tutt, Alina Andrei, Kage Yami, Damali Ross, Tony Vittorioso, Donny Nichols, Niko Dalman, Camran Bostanabad, Johnny Zhao Haitao and Darrell McLean. We round out this playlist with a tasty teaser reel by a fantastic […]
Particular current events in the news notwithstanding, Thanksgiving weekend was a mild letdown on my end. We still had dinner though, which was awesome as always. A bit indigestive? Yes… But delish nonetheless. I also slowed down a bit so I can enjoy my weekend some, though with my Facebook notifications and messages buzzing with entries for the Hit List, I couldn’t pass it up and indeed there were a few things I wanted to share anyway. And as always, that includes stunt reels to kick things off first and foremost with Heather Bonomo‘s newest reel, followed by those of Nick Dunn, Tiana Webberly, Matt Philliben, Tanna Jo and freerunning extraordinare Josh Yadon. Going slightly longer-form are reels rounding out the playlist by Frederic Jean, a riveting new fight and stunt coordinator montage by Olivier Schneider, and extended stunt reels by Chris Silcox and John Street. Enjoy the playlist here […]
