THE HIT LIST: November 12, 2018

It’s a Saturday as I’m writing all of this and putting it together, so take in my pre-dated cohesive grammar skills because by Sunday, if I’m writing, I’ll be dead tired AF. Alas, another week of exciting action, stunt and indie cinema from around the web awaits for our return to The Hit List, and as always, we begin with another round of stunt, training and demo reels from some of today’s top professionals and up-and-comers. Things didn’t turn out too well for me over the weekend during the afterevents of the UASE in New York City on Saturday evening. Opportunities got cut short which pretty much undid any writing I would have liked to do, though it wasn’t a huge waste as I got to shake hands with one of the Expo’s attendees, stuntman Donald Tucker, which you can read about here. Well, my weekend was all work and no play, but I did get to view a handful of shortfilms and a terrific independent feature film well on its way. Reviews will arrive in due time, while I’ve since gathered up what I could for this week’s installment of The Hit List, and I hope it suits your fancy. As always, the first round of action goes to the stunt professionals, coordinators and players alike with actor, martial artist and choreographer Matt Mullins, whose prolific work on ABC series, Marvel’s Agents Of Shield makes for a nifty little demo reel full of action clips from the show to start things off properly. This week’s installation of The Hit List presents some great pieces to share, and without a doubt I will be resurrecting another lovely piece of shortfilm worth viewing for those not in the know. Right now and as the script usually goes, we kick the festivities off with a playlist full of entertaining reels full of stunts and action by some of today’s talented performers. Actor and stuntman Eric Jacobus starts it off with a continuation of his epic journey through Katsuhiro Harada’s Tekken gameverse with a movelist attributed to the Dark Talon of Death himself, Raven.
