Gareth Evans's BLISTER Is Still On The Way, Plans To Shoot In Early 2016

As far as we know, any updates have been off the radar for director Gareth Huw Evans following the above photo signaling the pre-production of his latest film, Blister, back in February. The hype stemming from last year’s electric release of The Raid 2 had settled by then as the latter part of 2014 saw Evans’ cohorts, Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman branch out into other things, and much to the delight of fans with projects like Beyond Skyline, Yakuza Apocalypse and 3, with many more slated to arrive in due time. Martial artist, actor and online content creator Aaron Gassor, better known by his nom de plume, Ginger Ninja Trickster, popped up on my radar as early as last year with the earlier promotion for his upcoming appearance in Marcus Shakesheff‘s directorial debut, Kamikaze. Needless to say, he’s been making waves within the martial arts cinema circles for sometime now, as a performer, as well as an athlete and instructor. If you’ve subscribed to his Facebook page at all within the past year, you’ve likely seen some amazing videos, including various solo and collaborative acts from time to time. His most recent get-together with Welsh indie group, Flawless Films can now be viewed online featuring Gassor at his most snarky in a Spider-Man costume opposite the Dark Knight himself, played by Jake Rogers. Wales' First Action Film Gets A New Trailer For KAMIKAZE!

Hollywood stuntman and actor Marcus Shakesheff is bringing pure, organic martial arts firepower to his directorial debut in Wales’ first action film, Kamikaze. The film is the latest launch project for Beat’Em Up Films, with Shakesheff sharing co-writing duties with scribe Catherine Maher and producing credits with co-stars Gemma Harry, actor and stuntman David Newton and co-producer David Ware. The film sees lead actor Shakesheff caught in a web of espionage and treachery that places him at the center of all the high flying action, which he also choreographed.
