Ivan Cazzol Fights To Save The World In The New Spy Series, C9DES

Looking to revitalize Italy’s independent action film scene is the newest collaboration between Stevio Studio and cinematic stunt and choreography troupe, D-Unit, for the internet’s newest webseries, C9des (Codes). Described as Italy’s first martial arts spy webseries, C9des comes from the efforts of writer, DoP, editor and director Cristoforo Cervino who met up with Loris Ripamonti earlier this year during an acting class. Eventually, their shared interest in film led to a partnership beginning around May or June when Ripamonti joined the production as its executive producer, in addition to being its premiere stunt coordinator with the aid of his team, D-Unit. The first episode is now online with English subtitles, with a current slate of eight episodes pending, while episode two is set to air in March of next year. C9des stars Vera Matiushkova and Ivan Cazzol, with Mirco Cazzol, Stefano Stucchi and Tommaso Scandamarro rounding out the cast. […]

Writer, co-producer and director Rennie Sharp is unveiling the new trailer this month for his upcoming webseries premiere, The Undetected. The trailer definitely lends a nod to spy/espionage/action-oriented storytelling that fans of indie action would likely enjoy, especially if you love shows like 24 and films like The Art Of War. The Hunt Is On For KUNG FU JONNY!

Every once in a while, you come across a gem on the internet. Such is the case with the first season of the new webseries from Derptastic Films, Kung Fu Jonny, created in part by Jericho Rain, and starring co-creators/fight choreographers Jon Rodriquez and Kevin Czarneki. The series also stars Ashley Turkowski, musician Professor Kliq and Dana Dajani, and is directed by Marvin Glass, Malcolm Raay and co-writers/fight co-choreographers Eric Reithel and editor/co-star Andrew Hempfling. From the credits alone, you can pretty much tell that it was a group effort. (Originally shared on 1/29/13, now updated for links and content) Something is cooking with director Chris Crutchfield and fight choreographer Vonzell Carter over at Triple Click Productions behind a new webseries called “Pulse”, starring co-creator Desiree Abeyta, Frank Rautenbach, Rebecca Honett and John T. Woods. Feel free to take a look at the following behind the scenes photo album HERE, provided by on-set photographer Michael Amico. If you are familiar with Vonzell Carter’s work with Thousand Pounds Action Company, you can suspect that what Triple Click has to offer will be nothing short of mind-blowing, especially with the director who is also an actor and a motion graphics designer, working with art director Tayen Kim and animator Blake Benyon on board. This is looking pretty exciting, although mostly speculation for now. But LIKE the page and keep close to the “pulse” of what’s happening! 😉

There might be a new Scrappers series in the future, but for now, we plan to go out with a bang with Slug Street Scrappers 3. The trailer will be released within the next couple of days, and the full film should be ready sometime in March.However, Whirlwind Action is excited to announce it’s next web series, “Maces & Mages”.
