Crafting big scale stories with equal balance between authentic and CG filming is never not risky. SONG OF THE ASSASSIN: Le Vision Adapting Wuxia Novel, Daniel Lee Attached For The Film
Continuing the practice of churning books into potential multimedia endeavors, Yuan Taiji’s 2015 literary, Song Of The Assassin, is now on deck for its own treatment. Concept art has already begun circulating in the past month with efforts being put into a web drama and a feature film with the latter announcing William Feng (The Monkey King 2) first on the cast roster.
China’s Le Vision Pictures is spearheading Song of the Assassins with Hong Kong filmmaker Daniel Lee (Black Mask, Time Raiders), based on “The Lost Tomb” novel series which centers on a mysterious order of assassins as we follow a young swordsman on his journey to become the top assassin.
Production is already underway for the web drama itself while further details remain pending for the film. (Yumcha/YesAsia)
