Production is expected to commence in the Fall for The Beekeeper 2 according to The Wrap’s Adam Chitwood on Wednesday. The site also affirms the film has retained a release deal worldwide in theaters from Amazon MGM Studios.
Timo Tjahjanto (Netflix’s The Night Comes For Us, Universal’s upcoming Nobody sequel) is directing from a script by Kurt Wimmer, returning leading man Jason Statham for the title role succeeding David Ayer’s inaugural 2024 hit. Statham is also producing through his Punch Palace label next to Chris Long’s Long Shot Productions, as well as Wimmer, and Miramax who is also financing.
Statham currently appears in Ayer’s A Working Man for Amazon MGM and will next appear in Jean François Richet’s Mutiny in 2026.
