THE BEEKEEPER: Check Out The Red-Band Trailer For David Ayer’s New Jason Statham Actioner
John Wick kills people with pencils. As far as competition goes, Jason Statham’s latest lead role needs nothing more than a jar of honey to do the trick in what MGM has up its sleeve from director David Ayer with revenge and retribution thriller, The Beekeeper.
This one’s been a go-to for a while now as everyone who’s kept up with Statham’s escapdes as a Transporter and an Expendable up to this point has been curious as heck to learn more about this project since its announcement last year with Suicide Squad and Bright helmer David Ayer attached to direct.
Statham headlines The Beekeeper which centers on one man’s brutal campaign for vengeance, as it takes on national stakes when he is revealed to be a former operative of a powerful and clandestine organization known as “Beekeepers.” The movie also stars Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, and Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver, with Phylicia Rashad and Jeremy Irons.
Kurt Wimmer (Expend4bles, Equilibrium) penned the pic as well as produced alongside Ayer and Statham, and with Bill Block, and Chris Long, p.g.a. Stunt sequences were coordinated by Eddie J. Fernandez (“61st Street”), with Jeremy Marinas (John Wick: Chapter 4) as action director.
