THE HIT LIST: July 23, 2018

I’ve written all this on three hours of sleep after an awesome Saturday evening. Still in recovery, yes, but nonetheless willing and able to keep the Hit List action going for another week!

And so it goes with another round of reels and demos from some of today’s top and emerging stunt talents. Megan Hui out in Canada leads off followed of by reels from Sam Symons, Andre Da Silva, Julie Elizabeth, Troy Faruk, Kawui Joa, Bethel Lindsey, Anthony Giovanni Elias, Deineka Pavlo, Jannelle Beaudry, Jennifer Li, Johnathan Henry, Jason Truong, Chelsea Goldsmith, April Taft, Branden Arnold, Keanu Lam and Caitlyn Grace, with reels courtesy of Reuben Langdon and over in Denmark with Joon Poore’s JP Stunts.

Time for just a few promo vids and the first comes from James Couche who recently kicked off a new Indiegogo campaign to provide funds for his next project, Fallen Blade, which you can read more about by clicking here, and then here for further inquiry. Second is a trailer for Prashanth Guna’s new revenge thriller, Eye For Eye, from Cyntage Films, and lastly is a trailer that arose courtesy Bat In The Sun and their continued quest to keep the fandom alive by way of Power Rangers Legacy Wars – Street Fighter Showdown, a new Fall short film based on the current evolution of the titular game hybridizing characters like the Green Ranger (Jason David Frank) and Ryu/Ryu Ranger (Peter Jang).

Its time to get the action going and I absolutely know you’re going to love some, if not all of these. First up is a preview clip offered to us by actor Jean-Paul Ly, hailing from his latest half-hour proof-of-concept action thriller pilot, The Division.

Following that is a catch-up entry from Kyle Murillo and Matthew Daos, David Vuong trading more parking lot blows with Anthony Duong, Gabriella Corvina fighting Eddie Valentino for some Stolen Treasure, and freaking Emmanuel Manz-freakin-nares breathing life back into the LBP Stunts Chicago brand once more by way of two of South Africa’s stunt performance bests, Deville Vannik and Ian Williamson.

From there we pivot over to DC Stunt Coalition, sponsored by Allied Washington L.L.C. to assemble a promotional video for the upcoming release of Mission: Impossible – FALLOUT. Thus, they’ve answered the call by doing what they do best with performances by Zachary Stetka and Taylor Bezerra, while Leo Kei Angelos storms France with a melee of stunt performers listing Thibault Gassman, Maxime Ecoiffier, Bryan Vigier and Marvin Berrembou.

Down the wire is the latest re-emergence of George Johnston who I haven’t heard from in a few years in film. Stemming from his current training grounds in Glasgow, he’s making a return to online indie action opposite David Ostrowski in kickoff for the Total Combat Short Film Series featuring experiments in fight design and film techniques and you can follow George and his endeavors on either YouTube or Facebook.

Next up is a pair of Indonesian stunt talents, Hasibahrain and Izzaz Mohd Sani in Lost, performed and produced in association with Leqir Stunt Action. And….last and far from least are the 3.2 million views as of this write-up and counting for Tapped Out and Gridlocked helmer Allan Unger’s self-produced short inspired by Naughty Dog’s highly successful Uncharted game franchise. Sony is already on deck for a feature film of their own and so casting actor Nathan Fillon may be out, while talk of possible seperate series hasn’t quieted the fandom in the least apart from how well Fillion carries this latest online jewel.

Enjoy the hits!
