THE HIT LIST: July 16, 2018
Managed to get a few things done this weekend including enjoying a few others screeners – one for a film that was supposed to be out this month but will be releasing this Fall instead and I’ll bring some news about that in the weeks ahead.

Until then, it’s time for The Hit List and if you know what The Hit List is, then you know what you’re in for. For the newbies, by all means! Follow along and firstly enjoy this week’s playlist of rousing stunt performance and professional reels to whet the appetite, courtesy of actress Sarah Chang, Patrick Phan, Brandon Shaw, Wei Hsin Lee, Nick Fisher, Robert Bennett, Bronte Coluccio, Sean Chase, Curtis Braconnier, Melodie Veillard, Sam Akel, and as of this month, the Seattle’s International Stunt Institute’s own Alec Tillett!
Promotional gems are few this week but look great thusfar with a few pics you can check out below for Mikko Lopponen’s upcoming fan film, Witcher: Mines of Eeclor. Finnish actor and stunt performer Jesse Liskola takes the lead as seen in the first few teaser pics taken stylishly by Henry Söderlund. Following that is a teaser for Micah Khan’s latest short, Safe House which will have its premiere this Winter at the Urban Action Showcase in New York City with Kristin Renee and Ulisses Gonsalves starring.
It’s time for the indie action to heat up with some fight scene jewels and first to shimmer this week are a few quickies from Ben Van Huis in a two-on-one with Kai Ferris and Margaryta Soldatova. Next up is a vid from M1 Action Design with Darcy Hinds and Ken Do getting in some screentime, followed by a trio of action comedy and thrills collectively featuring Marie Mouroum, Kai Fung Rieck and Arya Lee.
Joseph Oreste puts the all-too familiar douchebag approach to martial arts training to the test against Chris Silcox in the first of a two-parter titled You’re Doing It Wrong! while Mig Buenacruz gets sharp with Curtis Braconnier in a vid of their own, Anthony Javier and Bronson Cameron commit to Deconstruction: A Test Of Strength and Dominique Smith stirs the fight fandom behind the lens for Nate Hitpas, Jospeh Roark and Tony Vittorioso.
Second from final is the hard-hitting MMA drama, Inner Demon starring Heidi Ford in a very intriguing setup. She produces with stuntwoman Lori O’Connell who doubles as her screenfighting twin opposite for director Kirk Caoucette who now releases his work following respective wins and nominations at fests such as the Urban Action Showcase, Artemis and the Action On Film Festival.
Last and far from least is a question of whether or not Deadpool will ever find a team to work with! The X-Men don’t want him and the Avengers won’t have him…maybe Alpha Flight? Alas, the question gets answered in Julian Higgins’ fan film sequel musical ode to the merc with a mouth inspired by the feature film spawned from the comic that Fox sat on WAY too long to begin with!… And in case you’re wondering, that’s Casper Van Dien blasting along as Cyclops.
Hat tip to David “Dax” Bauer for the entry!

Don’t miss out on last week’s entries!
