THE NIGHT COMES FOR US Teases A Killer Fated To Kill One Last Time In The Official Trailer!

If you’re like me, the past four years have probably proven to be one of the biggest waiting games you’ve ever played. It’s certainly been longer for acclaimed Mo’ Bro filmmaker, director Timo Tjahjanto since arduously birthing his concepts for The Night Comes For Us with the goal of bringing back The Raid actor Joe Taslim.

There’s nothing else, really, to the matter apart from what else has already been said with respect to its stagnation in 2014. All we really know after all the waiting, depression and renewed hope is that I think we’re on the same page in expressing our collective euphoria since the first teaser clip arose ahead of the film’s premiere at Sitges.

As such, we now have an official trailer that meets our needs from a preliminary standpoint. That we also saw an official poster with a release date also felt more than fruitful, but the poster itself featuring Taslim with top billing among some of the leanest and meanest of action cinema characters feels especially rewarding after years of teaser images stagnation.

Of foremost importance is the film’s overall plot which sees Taslim in the role of Ito, a Jakarta gangland enforcer who suddenly disappears, only to mysteriously re-emerge with a young girl in tow following a deadly massacre. The plot thickens even moreso when he’s made aware of the tumultuous powershift among the ranks, now pitted between politics of his own criminal territory and the triads who want him dead.

The film premiered to acclaim with all the proof you need now available at sites like ScreenAnarchy and Birth.Movies.Death. following it’s Fantastic Fest premiere. The same goes for anyone with a Twitter account who has attended a screening of the film only to be left saying things like this, this, this or this, or even this!….

Thank you Twitter. We get it.

October 19 is the date for its Netflix premiere. The cast also lists Sunny Pang, Hannah Al Rashid, Julie Estelle and action star Iko Uwais who also coordinated and designed the brutality on hand.
