TIGER COP: PROJECT A: Generations Of Hong Kong Action Fandom Collide In Exclusive Poster Debut
Nearly every memorable Hong Kong action classic has an equally discernible poster to boot. Adrian Castro knows this as well as anyone, with these aesthetics being the focus of his Tiger Cop series of inspired shorts featuring Maria Tran in the title role for his Fideo Films indie label, and Tran’s own Phoenix Eye.
Such is the case, especially, for Tiger Cop: Project A, which is on track for online release on March 17. The trailer debuted last week revealing a few bits more of Tran and the cast at hand including screen legend Richard Norton, who is perhaps the biggest addition to the table as one of Hong Kong cinema’s most notable villainous mainstays.
And, what better way to further invoke the vibe aside from the trailer, than with suitable keyart to befit the mood? That brings us to an exclusive poster reveal on Tuesday that Film Combat Syndicate can share thanks to Castro and his team, and you have to admire the attention to detail provided here. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think it was an actual scan of a poster for part of a limited edition disc release or something (I wouldn’t be surprised if Castro and Eureka Entertainment put a deal together at some point).
The poster comes just as Tran just wrapped the back-to-back productions of the sequel tête-a-tête to her 2022 thriller, Echo 8, which you can read more about here. In the meantime, check out the ink below, and tap here for the trailer if you missed it last week!
