4 TIGERS Expands The ‘Khun Pan’ Cineverse This October In Thailand. Catch The Trailer!
Filmmaker Kongkiat Khomsiri has hit it big in the last decade with his take on supernatural crime fighting lore with the Ananda Everingham-led Khun Pan trilogy. To date, there’s more on the way as the franchise now extends itself to a spin-off in 4 Tigers, featuring characters who appeared in some capacity within the last three films.
Those roles are portrayed by Weir Sukollawat Kanarot, Mario Maurer, Pae Arak Amornsupasiri and Tono Phakin Khamwilaisak. Story details are paper thin and so the official trailer and latest poster debut are all that’s pretty much available to go by, save for any context you can gather if you’ve been fortunate enough to see the Khun Pan films; The third installment is the only film legally available to stream anywhere in the U.S. right now on HBO Max if you’re subbed, which is more than ridiculous, in my view at least.
Either way, 4 Tigers marks a new chapter in what’s been billed as Komesiri’s Khun Pan Cinematic Universe, and the first trailer making the rounds in the past month looks enticing enough. The movie opens on October 23 in Thailand.
