Aaron Toney’s ‘PROJECT H’ Project Gets An Official Title
There are lessons to be learned when you play the long game, and actor and stunt performer Aaron Toney (Falcon And The Winter Soldier, The Debt Collectors) exudes this in much of his work after nearly two decades in stunts and screenfighting for film and television.
With an additional eye toward creating and filmmaking, we now get to taste just a little more of what’s to come with a new look at the official title, poster and logo for Toney’s long-awaited, crowdfunded endeavor, Throne: The Liforian Odyssey. Formerly titled “Project H”, there are no plot or story details are available other than some key voice narration from Toney in the teaser above, as well as what’s been released as of last year with a small logline that reads the following:
The story of a king in a new frontier, trying to fight his way back into the hearts of his people.
For those who haven’t been keeping up since Toney’s own original short film, Throne, that one sees Toney in character, taking on a small army of warriors. What ensues is an epic martial arts battle of the explosive kind, topped with two dozen of the best of today’s most talented wunderkinds in the stunt industry.
That shortfilm had a limited run online so it’s nowhere available now, but it’s got a cool trailer up since 2019 that helps sell its original idea at the time.
In December 2020, and after years of keeping the concept under lock and key, Toney followed up with an Indiegogo crowdsourcing campaign to raise funds to shoot the project in the Mojave Desert. Production lasted from mid-March of last year thru May, with the noted addition of actor Yoshi Sudarso (The Paper Tigers, Buffalo Boys).
Throne: The Liforian Odyssey hails from Halvon Corp. Entertainment and Global Forge Studios. The show is being created by Toney along with partner Jason Sweat. Both serve as producers along with Linda Jewell and Julia Maggio.
The official website for Halvon Corp is already online with e-mail subscriptions available for visitors, as well as info on Toney and the team, and a couple of video gems in Showreel column to help whet the appetite.
