ASSAULT ON VA-33: Sean Patrick Flanery Puts A Chokehold On Terrorism In The Official Trailer
Hopefully by now you’ve seen Sean Patrick Flanery’s latest fight drama, Born A Champion, or at least plan to in the coming weeks. My review of that film spawns lists of reasons why that film was such fun, and ought to put Flanery on the map for even more spectacular film fun going forward.
That said, if you love MMA-themed action or if you simply enjoyed Born A Champion so much that you want more of it, look no further than the official trailer now online for Christopher Ray’s new action thriller, Assault On VA-33. Ray directs from a script by Scott T. Reynolds for a cast led by Flanery who is clearly ready to dish out more proper BJJ-stylized thrills for a suitable action narrative with the likes of Rob Van Dam and Mark Dacascos also on hand.
Sean Patrick Flanery (Boondock Saints) stars as decorated army veteran Jason Hill. While on a routine visit to the local VA hospital, organized terrorists infiltrate the building and take hostages, including a decorated general, and Hill’s wife. The highly trained veteran is outnumbered and the last line of defense, taking on a building full of armed insurgents before it’s too late.
Michael Jai White also gets some screentime with the cast next to actor Weston Cage Coppola and actress Gina Holden.
Assault On VA-33 hails from Paramount and Saban Films, and opens in select theaters beginning April 2, and On Demand and Digital from April 6.
