Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Tomb Raider is getting its day on the small screen in due time with none other than Sophie Turner donning the iconic look for Prime Video. The show marks the latest screen treatment succeeding Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in their respective iterations, as well as Netflix’s seperate animated venture a few years ago. The new live-action Tomb Raider series has since been in development since 2024 with Turner tapped to star as of last Fall, and the show’s first sign of life has taken to the internet on Thursday with the actress in full regalia, costume, prop weapons and all. HARD BOILED: Relive John Woo’s Magnum Opus In The New U.S. Theatrical Trailer!

2026 is off to a wonky start if ever. But, that doesn’t mean the year is completely hopeless, and if you’re a moviegoer and love Hong Kong action, you can now guarantee yourselves a few glimmers from directing legend John Woo with the re-releases of several of his heyday classics, including Hard Boiled which opens in select theaters for a limited run on January 25, 26 and 28. The 4K theatrical re-release marks a continuance for Shout! Studios who is partnering with GKids on the campaign; Shout! sparked renewed fandom last year with its acquisition of a number of Hong Kong titles, including the entire Golden Princess library which was home to a number of titles from Woo and other directors. TIKITAKA: Posters Signal New Malayalam Action Thriller Coming In The New Year

Indian film coverage is always a mystery. Any details apart from the usual boilerplate language are scant which is always admittedly frustrating, and which I reckon is what these guys love about their field. Things are constantly kept under a tight lid, and they know it’ll only make people more curious about what’s coming. And, agreeably, I’m curious about TikiTaka. The new action adventure is directed by Rohit VS with a cast led by Asif Ali. The film was announced in 2024 and production has been teasing folks for a while now with a slow trickle of posters in the last several months.
