FISTS ON A PLANE: WINGS OF DREAD: Exclusive U.S. Trailer Debut For High-Flying Martial Arts Actioner Starring Ashton Chen And Iko Uwais!
If you’re like me and never thought an official U.S. rollout of the latest Ashton Chen/Iko Uwais tête-à-tête would never see the light of day, then breathe and take note: Well Go USA is proudly releasing Fists On A Plane: Wings Of Dread on Digital beginning November 24, followed by its streaming launch on Hi-YAH! starting December 4.
Martial artists Ashton Chen and Iko Uwais (The Raid) collide in this high-altitude thriller. When air cop Gu Chaoyang (Chen) boards his flight home, he becomes the final line of defense against a hijacking led by a ruthless adversary (Uwais). Trapped in the clouds, he must use his elite combat skills and unwavering ethics to protect the passengers. What follows is a brutal, life-and-death struggle where there is no room for error and nowhere to run.
Fists On A Plane: Wings Of Dread also stars Qu Jingjing (Tibetan Raiders), Nita Hsia Jo-Yen (Anaconda), Hong Shuang (Secret Pursuit), Ren Tianye (Battlefield: Fall of the World), Gao Yi (Eye for an Eye), Huang Tao (Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms), and Liu Fengchao (The Butcher’s Blade).
Well Go USA’s latest grab here also marks a reunion for the label with the film’s on-hand talents; Fists On A Plane: Wings Of Dread was also directed by Chen alongside filmmaker Qin Pengfei, with whom he previously collabarated for Chen’s 2024 actioner, The Drunken Prodigy.
I had the privilege of screening Fists On A Plane: Wings Of Dread in its previous iteration over the summer during the fourth Big Bad Film Fest. You’re welcome to read my review here, but otherwise I can assert that you’ll be pleased with the film’s delivery for the most part.
