KAROSHI: A Tale Of Sacrifice And Vengeful Resonance In The Official Trailer

Your guess is as good as mine as to what to expect with action thriller Karoshi, the latest out of Lionsgate from director Takashi Doscher. To this, we can now get a glimpse of what’s to come with the first official trailer now running online following a poster reveal on Wednesday.
Produced by Chad Stahelski (John Wick franchise), and written and directed by Takashi Doscher, KARŌSHI is an action-thriller set in a near-future Manhattan, where corporate loyalty and cultural tradition have reshaped everyday life. When a mysterious outsider infiltrates a powerful company after a worker’s death, he exposes the violent system hidden beneath its polished surface.
Karoshi stars Teo Yoo, Isabel May, and Takehiro Hira, along with Bill Camp, Show Kasamatsu, with Giancarlo Esposito, and Cynthia Erivo. Topping it all off is a producer roster that lists none other than Chad Stahelski whose ardent fandom for Japanese cinema and aesthetics sits widely throughout the visuals in the assets now available, from the costumes to set pieces and action. Yep, the target audience is clear here.
Karoshi is also produced by Jason Spitz, Alex Young, and Nathan Kahane. Lionsgate will release the film theatrically on February 5, 2027.
