KAMEN RIDER 555: PARADISE REGAINED Teaser Hails The Return Of A Franchise Fave!

Next year will be a special treat of sorts for the Kamen Rider crowd with the 20th-anniversary arrival of Kamen Rider 555: Paradise Regained. Toshiki Inoue and Ryuta Tasaki are at the helm for the newest feature chapter once more in succession from the hit TV Asashi series, with actors Kohei Murakami, Yuria Haga, and Mitsuru Karahashi also returning. India’s first post-apocalyptic survival thriller, starring Shraddha Srinath (Witness) and Kishore Kumar G. (Ponniyin Selvan: Part I and Part II) is now inbound as of the 2021 production start of Pramodh Sundar’s feature debut, and you’re just in time for the first official trailer which you can view at the bottom of the page. It’s not the Wanted sequel some fans may still be pining for, but a Temur Bekmambetov-directed action picture is still something people will line up for, and here to test that theory is the upcoming Cannes sales launch by Black Bear International for action thriller, Motor City, starring Alan Ritchson. Ritchson will play John Miller, a Detroit man released from prison, who unleashes a rampage of brutal vengeance on those who framed him. The Detroit-set film will be “characterized by immersive visual storytelling, with stunningly choreographed and stylized action sequences,” according to a statement. Variety’s Leo Barraclough notes that WME Independent will co-represent domestic rights on Motor City with Stampede at the Marche du Film. THE RAID Is Getting A 4K Remaster!

Read the included caption and that’s pretty much the word so far from director Gareth Huw Evans who is also in toe with Netflix action thriller, Havoc. That film, starring Tom Hardy and Forest Whitaker, will arrive in 2024, and with that long a wait I’d say any news on this 2011 martial arts-infused crime classic is a welcome treat. No word yet on the upcoming remagining though or if The Raid 2 will get an upgrade as well, so let’s all stay tuned and commence the celebration once again!

It was last November when fans of cinema great, Albert Pyun, lost one of the most pivotal and influential genre indie filmmakers of the past century. Of course it remains to be seen when the remnants of the late director’s work will be posthumously completed as Pyun’s widow, Cynthia Curnan, and her team are overseeing things right down to the finish line. For fans within proximity of the Loz Feliz Theatre in Los Angeles, however, the ceremony will no less continue with a six-film tribute hosted by the American Cinematheque from May 7 to May 25.
