THE SPY WHO NEVER DIES Livens Up The Spy Comedy Genre In The Official Trailer

The official trailer has been going around for a while for writer/director Corey Pearson’s new action comedy, The Spy Who Never Dies. I’ll be happy to share it here while I can though, and I’m also hoping to catch onto its traction as it rejoins the star/director team behind 2019’s Message Man, with actor Paul O’Brien headlining in fine form. Cassandra Magrath, Teressa Liane, and Georgia Walters also star. Brad is the worlds greatest spy. After meeting a regular girl, he decides to explore love and take a break from the world of espionage. When his girlfriend is kidnapped and a rogue agent steals several hypersonic missiles, he must get back on the job to rescue his girlfriend, find the missiles and save the world. There’s no date yet but in the meantime, I do recommend watching Message Man… You know, like a normal person.

MAN ON THE EDGE: CMC Pictures Slates Sam Wong’s New Crime Thriller In North America, New Zealand And Australia This Month

CMC Pictures is extending the reach of Sam Wong’s new crime thriller, Man On The Edge. The film, starring Richie Jen and Simon Yam will release in the Chinese mainland on April 15, as it will now in select theaters in North America, Australia and New Zealand. In order to investigate the truth behind the gang’s drug trafficking, the undercover policeman Luo sir is caught in the whirlpool of gang competition and police conspiracy. He fights bravely with the hidden forces, and eventually reveals a shocking political conspiracy. Also starring are Patrick Tam, Alex Fong and Ron Ng, with appearances by Danny Chan, Karena Lamb, Jerry Lamb and Sammo Hung.

SHADOW FORCE Casts Omar Sy, Joe Carnahan To Direct For Lionsgate

Boss Level and Copshop helmer Joe Carnahan will be back to direct another action thriller with Shadow Force for Lionsgate. First announced in 2019, actress Kerry Washington will now be joined by Lupin series star Omar Sy, who replaces actor Sterling K. Brown, as Deadline‘s Andreas Wiseman reported on Friday. Nathan Kahane, President, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said: “Omar is at the top of his powers – combined with his global stardom, he’s ideally suited to co-lead this action-drama with Kerry, whose talent as an actress and a producer is unbounded. Just a quick Google search online about actress Michelle Yeoh’s new movie, Everything Everywhere All At Once, and you needn’t wait too long before stumbling upon the names of Andy Le, Brian Le and Daniel Mah, the pointmen of stunt, film and fight choreography troupe, Martial Club. I have yet to see the film as I prefer at this stage to catch it on Blu-Ray or via Digital or streaming when I have the time, and so I yet can’t speak for the Daniels’ latest effort, save for the bursts of online praise the film has received for its execution, SFX ingenuity and quality, and overall delivery from Yeoh and the cast, and the action design by the aforementioned team. Aniplex Celebrates 35 Years Of CITY HUNTER With A New Movie On The Horizon

It’s been 35 years since the animated series launch of City Hunter, and Aniplex is HERE. FOR. IT. The studio is announcing a new animated film in production following the box office success of director Kenji Kodama’s 2019 release, City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes, once more adapting Tsukasa Hojo’s classic manga for the screen with none other than Akira Kamiya back at the mic to voice the lead role of Ryo Saeba. Herman Yau (Shock Wave, Shock Wave 2, Ip Man: The Final Fight, The White Storm 2: Drug Lords) is at the microphone once more as cameras roll for War Customised. Actors Jacky Cheung (Bullet in the Head) and Nicholas Tse (Raging Fire) are heading the cast from a script by The Empty Hands and Shock Wave 2 scribe Erica Li. Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk is undoubtedly paying huge mind to the success of his hit series on Netflix since last Fall, as the latest report from Variety confirms he’s penning the second season for a 2024 launch following January’s announcement. None of this is to say he isn’t branching out to other ideas, of course, and so it goes with trade news confirming the development of feature thriller, K.O. Club (or Killing Old People Club).
