THE DEVIL TO PAY: Danielle Deadwyler Starrer Heads To AFM Under Arclight

Becky scribes Lane and Ruckus Skye’s The Devil To Pay is being shopped at the virtual AFM this week under the Arclight banner, who were introduced to the pic initially by Gary Bradley. The film was released last month in the U.S. from Uncork’d Entertainment and Dark Star Pictures, and stars Danielle Deadwyler, Catherine Dyer and Jayson Warner Smith, and was announced officially by Arclight chairman Gary Hamilton. After the disappearance of her husband, a struggling farmer in an isolated Appalachian community fights to save her son when the cold-hearted matriarch of the oldest family on the mountain demands payment of a debt that could destroy a decade’s old truce. MAX CLOUD: Well Go USA Launches Official Trailer For Scott Adkins Sci-Fi Action Adventure Comedy

Readying what looks to be a December 18 select theatrical and on-demand release from Well Go USA, the official U.S. trailer is now streaming online for action adventure sci-fi, Max Cloud. Martin Owen (Killers Anonymous) directs from a script he co-wrote with Sally Collett, for a cast led by actress Isabelle Allen (Les Misérables, Killers Anonymous), and starring actor and martial artist Scott Adkins (Ip Man: The Finale) in the title role for his latest turn at comedy as well. When teen gamer Sarah finds an “easter egg” and accidentally opens a portal into her favorite side-scroller, she becomes trapped in a notorious intergalactic prison, home to the galaxy’s most dangerous villains. To escape, she must finish the game with a little help from her not-so-savvy friend on the outside…or remain a 16-bit character forever. The film also stars Tommy Flanagan, Lashana Lynch, Elliot Langridge, Franz Drameh, and John Hannah.

Chris Pratt (Guardians Of The Galaxy/MCU, upcoming The Tomorrow War) and Wu Jing (Wolf Warrior franchise) are teaming up to headline a reimagining of Ken Ochiai’s 2016 action comedy, Saigon Bodyguards, for Universal Pictures. Thai Hoa and Kim Ly starred in the original film which was produced by Rhomhus Media and CJ Entertainment, and focused on two pals – polar opposites working as professional bodyguards who are assigned to protect a rich brat, only for the job to go completely downhill. Indeed, Millenium Media will ‘fall’ even further with a fourth installment into their Fallen franchise with Greenland star Gerard Butler headlining Night Has Fallen. The actor will also reteam with Angel Has Fallen director Ric Roman Waugh back at the helm with Robert Mark Kamen penning the script. Butler will also produce with Les Weldon, Yariv Lerner and Alan Siegel, with Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Millennium Media president Jeffrey Greenstein and Jonathan Yunger exec producing. The film will shoot at Millennium Media’s Nu Boyana Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria and throughout Europe, according to the report. Post-modern wartime thirller, Zeros And Ones, has added four-time Academy Award nominated actor and filmmaker Ethan Hawke (First Reformed, Boyhood) to headline the cast for director Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant, The Funeral, Kings Of New York). Ferrara wrote the script which sees Hawke in the role of JJ, an American soldier stationed in a Rome under siege, locked down, and at war. Retired MMA champion Michael Bisping’s film career is taking the next step following starring credits in Den Of Thieves, Triple Threat and xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage. Dax Phelan will set sail for the UK to direct The Journeyman, based on author Mark Turley’s novel, “Journeymen: The Other Side of the Boxing Business, a New Perspective on the Noble Art”. Following Ed Boon on Twitter drew at least one conclusion since the release of Mortal Kombat 11: The ardent appreciation of fan favorite, Mileena. For months, fans begged and pleaded with Boon to bring her character back after her supposedly storied death in the previous franchise installment, and now her character will make her return on November 17. NetherRealm Studios just unveiled the gameplay trailer, and it’s as gory, teethy and stabby as you’d hope, and much more.
