Writer and director Robin Deeter has been hard at work in the past several months to promote a platform release for the new webseries, Project Child: Origins. The project was previously billed as a film, although time will tell if a plan for that segue is still in tow while Deeter takes exclusively to Facebook with new episodes each Wednesday through February. The webseries is a follow-up from its 2016 predecessor, Project Child: Initiations, though Origins stands on its own in some ways. For this, all eyes are now on Bad Boys For Life with word from Deadline that Belgian directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are negotiating with Sony to direct the film beginning in August. El Arbi and Fallah paved a career path for themselves in TV and film, scoring a hit in 2015 with their second feature, Black, and are now in tow with their latest, Gangsta. Temüjin and Börte are childhood lovers who are deeply in love; but news of Temüjin’s father’s death swiftly disrupted their relationship. Temüjin heads back to his hometown, but was faced with a sudden attack from his father’s former comrades, causing his whole tribe to be destroyed. Kongchak 2017 was something of a banner year for the good folks at Kongchak Pictures. The festival run for martial arts action comedy, Jailbreak, spawned a huge calling from fans much to the favor of producer Loy Te and director, Jimmy Henderson whose regional action feature debut, Hanuman, essentially illuminated some of the best Cambodia offers nowadays in screenfighting talent. If filmmaker Han Yan’s name sounds familiar, his amply noted 2015 dramedy, Go Away Mr. Tumor probably stands out first, though even more fascinating are the latest headlines he’s made for his two fantasy endeavors aiming for release this year, Dream Breaker being one… The other, and not to be confused for the former, is director HanYan’s surprising glimpse into what looks quite the spectacular feat in Animal World with Li Yi Feng appearing as a man who transforms into one of deadliest and most kick ass clowns you’ll see on film. Review: RV: RESURRECTED VICTIMS Is A Consequential Thriller That Supercedes The Paranormal

The one interesting thing with Champion and Typhoon helmer Kwak Kyung-Taek’s latest, RV: Resurrected Victims, is how long it took to be seen by audiences. Production wrapped in late 2015 and finally had its theatrical run in Korea last October, so as much a mystery as it is, folks can still move forward and bask in the mystery and intrigue that Kwak invites per the narrative based from the 2012 literary, “It Is Over”. The film certainly goes out of its way to ground itself in realism as amply as possible, which sort of makes suspending any disbelief something of a challenge. Patrick Hughes Readies UNSAFE HOUSE At Lionsgate

Variety’s exclusive on Monday for Patrick Hughes’s next venture reads a lot like the high-octane action comedy route he has gone for last year’s hit, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and prior with The Expendables 3. Enter Unsafe House which is readying to roll cameras this year with Russell Hollander producing from a script by Adam J. Epstein and Andrew Jacobson. The story follows three friends who rent a Bahamas beach house over the summer for some R&R, only to come and realize that the location is actually a MI-6 safe house already occupied by a CIA operative. When the house comes under attack, the three friends must team up with the spy in order to survive the ordeal. Casting is underway for the film which currently sits at Lionsgate.

It’s 20 years since producer Luc Besson struck gold with Gérard Pirès’s winning hit, Taxi, and with three more in the French-produced franchise next to an American reboot and a TV series. More than ten years have lapsed thereafter with helmer Gérard Krawczyk and franchise star Samy Naceri shepherding the action comedy saga, thus leaving it to writer and director Franck Gastambide to take the mantle on both sides of the lens for a fifth new outing.
