New Press Material Now Online For SNOWPIERCER

Hot off of a recent live internet showcase hosted by Korean film critic, Lee Dong-jin, in promotion for filmmaker Bong Joon-ho‘s post-apocalyptic sci-fi action adventure, Snowpiercer, we now have a new international trailer highlighting the film’s South Korean release date for August 1, 2013 from CJ Entertainment. Several new character featurettes and descriptions, and set images are also available online featuring the cast, including Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, John Hurt, Alison Pill, Octavia Spencer, Ko Asung, Ewen Bremner and Song Kang-ho. India Fights Back In Director Nikhil Advani's Latest Thriller, D-DAY

July 19, 2013 will see the domestic India release of the Hindi-language espionage action drama, D-Day, co-written and directed by Nikhil Advani. Inspired by the 2011 mission that saw the fatal capture of Osama Bin Laden by Seal Team Six, D-Day tells the fictional tale of four counter-terrorism agents for India’s Research & Analysis Wing (RAW), sent on a deadly mission to Pakistan to capture India’s most wanted man. The film stars Huma Qureshi, Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan, Akash Dhaiya, Shruti Hasan and Rishi Kapoor. Banned Vietnamese Action Film CHO LON Leaked Online, Investigation Now Underway

In a startling update for the dead-on-arrival Vietnamese martial arts gangster thriller, Bui Doi Cho Lon, Twitchfilm delivered a report this week that the film was briefly leaked online. South Wales Gets A Taste Of Hollywood For Its First Ever Martial Arts Action Thriller, KAMIKAZE In 2014

The South Wales Argus has reported that Hollywood action actor and veteran stuntman Marcus Shakesheff is helping to deliver Gwent county’s first ever blockbuster action adventure thriller. The film is called Kamikaze, based on a story and screenplay by Shakesheff and writer Catherine Maher. In the film, Shakesheff stars as Evan Reed, an ex-MI6 agent-turned-mercenary for hire who is picked by crooked Cabinet Minister David Beckham to steal files containing incriminating evidence against a member of the UK parliament linking him to a weapons contractor. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m ready to see director Nicolas Winding Refn‘s latest crime thriller, Only God Forgives. Coming off of Steven Knight‘s new film, Redemption, however, I get the feeling that this particular film goes along the lines for a similar approach, in terms of the neon-lit noir genre, which by all means is not a bad thing. Well Go Delivers Its New Trailer For The US Release Of DRUG WAR

Director Johnnie To‘s latest crime thriller, Drug War, is set to hit select screens this summer, with Well Go USA and Variance teaming up to premiere the film in New York, Los Angeles and Canada between July 26 and August 9. The film, starring Louis Koo as a drug lord who is forced to go undercover to help police end a major cocaine ring, was a box office success back in April and was a major seller at the European Film Market earlier this year, so I am inclined to believe this film is pretty good. The last few weeks have seen a major media push from the people behind the upcoming gargantuan cinematic super smash melee, Pacific Rim. With several bits of behind the scenes footage, television spots and this, being the fourth official trailer for co-writer and director Guillermo del Toro‘s latest epic masterwork, I personally expect this film to perform marvelously at the box office, as fans continue to demand that del Toro just shut up and take their money already, myself included. So, let’s hope those less-than-optimistic tracking numbers are nothing more than a glitch in what some people choose to proclaim as the film’s own pending apocalypse. Some new promotional material is online in light of the marketing blitz for Legendary Pictures’ July 12, 2013 release of the epic sci-fi monster-bashing rollercoaster, Pacific Rim, including a Japanese banner for its domestic release on August 9, a new clip, and a new featurette which discusses how the Kaiju were conceived for the film. Recent reports speculate that the film is not tracking well, which explains the ad push in the remaining two weeks left until the film premieres. I really don’t see how, so the notion that the film is going to flop, as much as it remains to be seen, sounds pretty damn mininimal. I’m going to see this movie, period.
