BALLERINA: ‘The Call’ Star And Director Head Up New Revenge Thriller For Netflix

Actress Jun Jong-seo will surely look to help steer things along for Kim Hong-sun’s own incarnation, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. In the meantime, the Burning and The Call star is now on par to lead Netflix revenge actioner Ballerina, rejoining her with none other than The Call director Lee Choong-hyun.
Ballerina will see Jun in the role of Ok-ju, a former bodyguard who must apply her elite skills once more as she sets out on a quest for vengeance on behalf of a friend – a ballerina named Min-hee. Park Yoo-rim, who previously made her appearance in Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s hit road drama, Drive My Car, starring Hidetoshi Nishijima and Toko Miura, will play Min-hee, with The Age Of Blood and Jun’s Money Heist: Korea co-star Kim Ji-hoon in the role of Ok-ju’s target, Choi Pro.
The film will also feature a score by recording artist and composer, GRAY, who previously worked on Netflix series Hellbound and military drama, D.P.. A launch date remains pending.
