BLACK PANTHER: Witness The Start Of Marvel’s Latest Revolution In The Second Trailer
Taika Watiti’s Thor: Ragnarok is still a few weeks out from its release and Marvel is getting its feet dug in amply with its current campaign for Ryan Coogler’s offering, Black Panther. The second official trailer has arrived well and steady for a glimpse into the looming insurrection that awaits our protagonist and his forged alliances, and of course a meaty serving of some feisty cat spectacle.
After the events of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.
Chadwick Boseman leads the cast in his titular return to the MCU and with a cast that includes Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Daniel Kaluuya, and respective Academy Award® nominee and winner, Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker among the sprawling cast. Production remains ongoing with a February 16 release, so peep the second trailer below and witness the start of Marvel’s latest revolution!
