BLACK SALT Spices Things Up In The Newest Trailer For The Shortfilm
There’s not much to report just yet on Blood And Bone helmer Ben Ramsey’s latest action short, Black Salt. For what it’s worth though, the prospects are looking quite grand following its stellar debut at the Urban Action Showcase and Expo last month which could ultimately lead to movies or television.
Either way, it’s the next major step for comic book creator Owen Ratliff in the years since creating the character for a growing niche readership and a market starving for a stronger minority presence in the world of superhero movies. For this, we get rising star Kinyumba Mutakabbir in the title role joined by a cast that fully delivers the concept from ink to film in Ramsey’s award-winning adaptation which now falls in the hands of the powers that be.
SYNOPSIS:
With only four days left the clock ticks down towards a new world holocaust. The only thing standing in its path is Interpol’s deadliest black-ops agent, Samuel Tharpe. Sam hunts down the path of a game-changing weapon of mass destruction called the Exterminatus. He follows hot on its trail deep into the ancient land of China where he must seek aid from the Abbot at the Shaolin Temple. An evil Yakuza master stole the Exterminatus and seeks to use it in the Far East. Sam must prove his worthiness by fighting one of the Temple’s most skilled monks. Prepared to lay down his own life in exchange for the lives of his family and the world, Sam steps forward and engages in combat. Only his long-past training by the Shaolin master, Yu Bai Shek will make him a worthy hero.
Time will tell if and when Black Salt makes its way online, and should it, it’ll gladly have a place here. For now though, until that day comes, we have a new trailer circulating online with some new footage with plenty of action and story build-up to set the pace.
