Action thriller, Blowback, is currently in production starring actors Randy Couture (The Expendables, Final Kill), lead actor Cam Gigandet (Black Site Delta), and Louis Mandylor (The Brave, Avengement). Tibor Takács (The Gate, Lies & Illusions) is directing the heist revenge thriller from a script by Kevin Yarris and Robert Edward Thomas.
Gigandet plays Nick, who, after planning a perfect bank heist, is ready to score, only he’s got one problem: His girl, as well as his crew – led by Jack – have other ideas. Double-crossed by his own people in a hail of bullets and left for dead, Nick survives. Thrust into a race for his life, he seeks revenge one target at a time.
Elias Axume is producing Blowback for Premiere Entertainment Group, with Al Bravo producing for Al Bravo Films. Carlos Rincon is exec producing along with BondIt Media Capital’s Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor.
Blowback is the second production from Elias Axume and Al Bravo following home invasion action-thriller The Commando, which was recently shot in November in New Mexico with Mickey Rourke, Michael Jai White, and Jeff Fahey starring. Premiere Entertainment has also recently produced female action-thrillers such as Night of the Sicario – which stars Natasha Henstridge for its select theatrical and VOD release from Paramount on April 16, and the Mena Suvari-led Locked In, which bows on May 7 from Saban.
