CALL HER KING Trailer: Naturi Naughton Is Judge, Jury And Executioner In Wes Miller’s New BET+ Action Thriller

River Runs Red and Hell On The Border director Wes Miller’s latest work is set to heat things up in July exclusively on BET+ with Call Her King. The contained action thriller headlines Naturi Naughton of “Power” series fame, along with Jason Mitchell and Lance Gross.

In Call Her King, Naughton plays Jaeda King (Naughton), a judge who has just sentenced Sean Samuels (Mitchell) to death when the courthouse is hijacked by Samuels’ brother Gabriel, also known as Black Caesar (Gross). King must then rely on her wits, strength, and skill to find a way to end the standoff, save the hostages and fight her way out.

Miller is also rejoined by A Day To Die actor Johnny Messner, with Nicholas Turturro (ABC series “NYPD Blue”), Tobias Truvillion (First Wives Club), Garrett Hendricks (FBI) and Shiobann Amisial (Bel-Air) also starring.

Call Her King is also produced by Miller alongside Andrew van der Houten as the launchpad for their BlackLight Entertainment production label – aimed at providing quality opportunities for people of color and other traditionally disadvantaged people in front of and behind the camera.

BET+ will premiere Call Her King on July 6.
