To simply say how exciting it is to see actors Fabien Garcia and Lohan Buson back in the saddle for a new film project, is something of an understatement. Together, they and the people under their Z-Team Films label have stood as part of the zeitgeist of aspiring filmmakers and performance artists for nearly twenty years, plying their trade online since the heydays of YouTube. They’ve since plied their trade in numerous projects, both in-house as well as with other creators, including Buson who went toe-to-toe with Iko Uwais in Gareth Evans’ blistering 2010 action drama, Merantau. They eventually etched an award-winning a moment in history with the 2015 release of their inaugural hit martial arts action thriller, Die Fighting, which is currently available in the U.S. from Gravitas Ventures. THE HUNT: SAVAGE WITHIN Kicks Its Way Online With A Campaign Teaser

It’s T-minus eleven days and counting until the fundraising pitch launches for The Hunt: Savage Within, the newest endeavor in sci-fi and action from Die Fighting duo Fabien Garcia and Lohan Buson. We first broke the news about the film back in February, and Garcia and his team, along with producing partner Christine Gorchon, have been hard at work tightening and tweaking the forthcoming fundraising campaign. Now the clock starts, and it’s only the latest development we hope can spur into reality given the kind of work Z-Team Films is provenly capable of, and just how much the niche approves. Check out the sizzle teaser and stick around, because this is gonna get exciting AF.

TIGER MAN: Watch The King Unleash Vengeance In The New Proof-Of-Concept Action Short

It’s not enough for writer and director James Campbell to just give up at this point. Not when it comes to The King. Joined by fight choreographer Jean-Paul Ly (Jailbreak, Nightshooters), he’s forged ahead having since filmed a proof-of-concept for Tiger Man, featuring actor Paul London in a fictionalized portrayal of Elvis Presley as he seeks to avenge the mysterious death of Bruce Lee! The goal now is to circulate the proof of concept short in hopes of gaining investment and interest to help make the feature a reality. It was released last week and it just turned up in my radar so, and so with just 24 days left for the Indiegogo campaign, I’ll be happy to keep the movement going some. Time to TCB, baby!

THE HUNT: SAVAGE WITHIN Brings Back Z-Team Films For New Indie Sci-Fi Action Feature [Exclusive]

Actor, martial artist and filmmaker Fabien Garcia is developing female-centric sci-fi pic, The Hunt: Savage Within. The project has been ongoing for some years now, and also now comes with conceptual imagery and artwork that I’ve been allowed to share which you can view at the bottom of this article. Story and plot details center on the role of Sarah, a forest ranger who finds herself hunted by an extraterrestrial being until a band of spec-ops soldiers arrive to her aid while investigating the crash site of the entity’s spaceship. The film is being billed as a gritty action feature likened to a mix of classic cult thrillers such as Predator, Terminator and The Thing. NORTHBOUND: Michigan-Set Survival Drama Hails Local Series Tour Ahead Of Season Three

Film duo Seth and Nathan Anderson are four years in toward their latest feature film effort, Northsaga. In the years since developing and putting out their initial proof-of-concept, however, they’ve been following through with their locally-produced digital series in the same vain with Northbound, a survival serial drama produced locally in the Upper Penninsula for Minneapolis-based online streaming platform, Seeka TV. Northbound, presented by Rip It Energy Fuel beverages, premiered its first two seasons beginning last October. As of August 11, production is already underway for a third season with scenes filmed at Michigan Technological University in Houghton.
