The past year or so has seen a massive effort for filmmaker and DC Comics veteran Dan Gottlieb for his own labor of love now in the form of I Am Omega: 1914. The project has undergone an evolution since last summer, with Gottlieb transitioning from live-action to a more bold animated storybook look.
That vision is currently presented in a teaser just above which is now part and parcel to the latest Indiegogo campaign for Gottlieb to hire with a proper team of animators and creators after months of shepherding the concept himself. The campaign runs through early November as Gottlieb looks toward 2021 to help bring I Am Omega: 1914, into fruition.
“To date, I have created all the content, drawn every line, and animated every frame and this project deserves a team of animators and sound engineers to step in and really bring it to life!” says Gottlieb. “This expansive and imaginative story can not be told in its current incarnation and needs funding to get it to its proper level of detail and design. To be blunt, I need your help.”
The current voice cast is led by Laura Aguinaga (Shades of Blue, VH-1 The Breaks & Ray Donovan), Michael Mulligan (NBC Universal, Marvel Appearance & designer at Jim Henson Studios), Mike Wring (Doctor Who, Gangs of London & Upcoming: Unspecified Marvel Project) and Meaghan Bloom Fluitt (Sweetbitter, My Crazy Love & Upcoming: The Exodite).
Gottlieb also has a group for the project on Facebook packed with concept photos, video updates and more, which you can check out by clicking here. Otherwise, feel free to head straight to the Indiegogo page to check out the official campaign video, learn more about the project, and even donate or share for support.
