The past summer has been remarkable to say the least, with theatrical releases in Korea having turned around amid the current pandemic. It’s certainly benefitted director Hong Won-chan whose newest action crime thriller, Deliver Us From Evil, drew the #1 spot topping 1.3 million in admissions for its first four days in August. You might have also noticed a new trailer which you can check out below the page, teasing an extended edition featuring six minutes of footage following its initial release from CJ Entertainment. SHOWDOWN IN YESTERYEAR Lends A First Look At Vernon Wells In The New Time Travel Western

AB Productions is releasing its first look at actor Vernon Wells (The Road Warrior, Commando) in the upcoming time travel western, Showdown In Yesteryear. Post-production is underway with principal photography wrapped officially as of Wednesday evening – per the announcement – with Wells joined by actress Debra Lamb, and starring actor Jeff Grennell, with O’Hearn also making an appearance. Showdown in Yesteryear follows Grennell as contemporary sad sack Daryl Dumwoody, who discovers a mysterious door in the woods which transports him to a frontier town in the 1800’s. There, Dumwoody contends with oppressive town boss Orson Kane (Wells), a fiercely independent widow (Lamb), and a gang of ruthless outlaws while attempting to find a way back to his own time. REAGAN: Voltage Pictures Launches Sales For Upcoming Biopic With Dennis Quaid, Penelope Ann Miller And Jon Voight

Voltage Pictures is officially launching sales this week for Reagan, a new biopic based on the life of the 40th President of the United States. Director Sean McNamara (Cats & Dogs 3) is directing the pic, currently in production and is expected to wrap shortly, according to an announcement on Wednesday. Dennis Quaid (Midway) and Penelope Ann Miller (The Bronx Bull) will star in the respective roles of title character, and of First Lady, Nancy Reagan. Howard Klausner (Space Cowboys) penned the script which “is said to look at Reagan’s life through the eyes of a KGB agent, a fictional character, as he tracks the actor-turned-SAG president-turned-California governor-turned-President from anti-Communist crusader in Hollywood to leader of the free world.” Actor Jon Voight (TV’s Ray Donovan) will play the KGB agent, with Robert Davi (Mob Town) playing Leonid Brezhnev, who ruled the Soviet Union through the 1960s and 1970s. There’s something big happening in the world of Bollywood for the Prabhas fandom as it awaits for whatever is to come for the project currently known as Prabhas 21, which takes off from the name of the starring actor himself. The past year has since seen a slow accumlation of major casting developments, firstly announcing actor Prabhas in February, before announcing actress Depeeka Padukoe in July. Filmmaker Christian Carion will remake his 2017 French-language hit missing-persons thriller, My Son, as announced by ErosSTX, as announced on Monday. STXfilms has closed the rights for the pic and have cast James McAvoy and Claire Foy. Carion, who will also produce the experimental new thriller, will shoot the film in November in Scotland with McAvoy starring in a story about a man who travels to the town of his ex-wife (Foy), in a desperate search for answers when only son goes missing. The plan is to shoot in the same style as Carion did for his 2017 film of the same name: McAvoy will have no script or dialogue, and instead, will improvise his way forward using only basic aspects of the story, to constitute a character whose life is clouded by mystery.
