New stills are on the horizon for UK actioner, Rupture, from director Ranjeet Marwa. Starring Ip Man 4 actor Mark Strange, the film centers on an ex-convict named Raven, out for revenge against those who wrongly put him behind bars. We shared a pack of stills back in September along with anecdotes from Marwa on the project who added a bit more context pertaining to Rupture, and its relationship to the previously completed Exiled: The Chosen Ones, which still awaits a 2022 release. “When people watch my previous movie Exiled they will notice the connections between the 2 movie.” Marwa said back in September. “I wanted to connect the worlds in a very small way and hopefully people will notice that.” That film stars Sunny Pang and Hannah Al Rashid, and sees a horde of prison inmates in a future dystopia, trapped in a kill facility where they’re forced to […]

The film remains in production with pick-up shots currently in toe, while Chou herself has graciously given us the greenlight to share a small raft of stills which you can view below. A sequel followed suit the next year from director Don Downey and also circulated festivals. Both shorts are part of a much longer resumè for Lacy who now lands her first feature lead role in Artist Unknown. The setup? Lacy plays Juniper, an insecure martial artist who must find out the origins of a painting after two thieves attempt to steal it […]

Lee B. Golden III

Netflix revealed the first few images of director Edward Berger’s (Patrick Melrose, Jack) adaptation of All Quiet On The Western Front, which is currently set for release in 2022. The film takes its cues from author Erich Maria Remarque’s bestselling 1928 pacificist war novel of the same name, and marks the first German production based on the property following director/co-writer Lewis Milestone’s 1930 film, which fell to Nazi censorship and forced its director into Swiss exile. One of the best-selling German novels of all time, Erich Maria Remarque’s poignant story follows three youngsters who voluntarily enlist in the German army. Full of excitement and patriotic fervor, the boys enthusiastically march into a war they believe in. But once on the Western Front, they discover the soul-destroying horror of war. Their preconceptions about the enemy and the rights and wrongs of the conflict crumble. On the countdown to Armistice, the novel’s […]
