Par for the course for this Fall’s pending premieres will be My Name, directed by Kim Jin-min (Extracurricular). The official poster is already live and giving off its share of The Villainess vibes, so with a trailer still pending there’s even a little reason to get excited, and there are some stills for the new action noir as well which you can view in the photo line-up below.
Penned by Kim Va-da and starring Han So-hee (The World of the Married, Nevertheless) who reportedly performed the difficult action scenes herself according to Netflix, stars as Jiwoo, a woman who becomes a mole in the police force using an alias, in order to infiltrate the criminal underworld and avenge the death of her father. Also starring are Park Hee-soon (Revenger), Ahn Bo-hyun (JTBC’s Itaewon Class), Kim Sang-ho (Ordinary Person), Lee Hak-ju (Hit-And-Run Squad), and Jang Yull (Jo Pil-ho: The Dawning Rage).
“Director Kim Jin-min, with his keen instinct for suspense, weaves a rich and dramatic storyline with Jiwoo and the other fascinating characters played by Park Hee-soon and Ahn Bo-hyun.” said Netflix. “My Name promises to be a gratifying action noir film with a tightly woven plot and thrilling suspense.”
