Following a delay in the campaign for what would have been a June release, fans instead got several updates on Saturday with a look at Jawan, a new Hindi-language action adventure starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Atlee for his fifth outing. The film is also slated for a September 7 release from AA Films and Yash Raj Films, and a brand new teaser trailer and poster are making the rounds as of the weekend to signal fans. A man is driven by a personal vendetta to rectify the wrongs in society, while keeping a promise made years ago. He comes up against a monstrous outlaw with no fear, who’s caused extreme suffering to many. I’ve been awake for a few hours before I’m actually supposed to be up and about my day, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to share some of the latest enticing poster art for director Lee Sang-yong’s The Roundup: No Way Out. There’s a main poster in both Hangul and English, as well as a trio of character posters making the rounds for the film’s May 31 release. Director Shingo Soejima continues to make moves this year after winning audiences over with his most recent local release, Eleven Greed. His latest effort, Kigurumi Blade, is now on the way and as of February with teaser footage and poster art that’s all the more menacing for a dark, gritty gangster thriller with killer action and spectacle to cosign. Soejima directs from a script he wrote with Kunihiko Okamoto for a story that centers on a mysterious cosplay assassin who protects a boy being targeted by a major organization. The cast is led by Harumi Kasamatsu and Yasushin Nakazawa, with action sequences by Akira Ogiwara and key stunts by Haruka Kitagaki in the killer suit that serves as titular to the film’s creative direction. Film Movement is announcing its latest campaign for director Dominik Moll’s French true crime thriller, The Night Of The 12th. The film screened at Cannes last year before entertaining audiences in the summer in Brussels and the world over and having recently made two festival stops in the U.S. just earlier this month, and will next premiere at NYC’s Quad Cinema on May 19, with additional markets to follow. The trio have released a first look still which you can view in the lead just beneath, along with the official poster at the bottom of the page. Cassavetes wrote and directed the pic inspired by true events and based on the novel of the same name by Boston Teran. The film follows detective Bob Hightower (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who finds his ex-wife murdered and his daughter kidnapped by an insidious cult. International sales agent Third Window Films has affirmed its next steps forward with Reiki Tsuno’s fantastically entertaining action comedy adventure thriller, Mad Cats. Chad Stahelski’s John Wick: Chapter 4 clocks in at 2 hours and 49 minutes – the longest of all entries in the franchise so far. That’s gonna be a lot of layer-building and assassin killing to come as Keanu Reeves makes his return to the fold after launching the character nearly a decade ago, and with a brand new trailer inbound this week, Lionsgate isn’t backing down from its “Wick Week” commitment as new character posters are now out which you can view below. The gallery also includes a final reveal of actor Scott Adkins in the role of “Killa” after weeks of keeping his character under wraps in which now he can be seen in what looks like a prosthetic fatsuit. Next month’s 73rd Berlinale will see the World Premiere of Swedish/Norwegian co-production, Opponent. The film marks a third offering from Milad Alami who wrote and directed the film, and starring Payman Maadi whose credits partly include Michael Bay’s 13 Hours and 6 Underground. Iman, an Iranian, lives with his family in Sweden in an ever-changing succession of refugee hostels. To increase his chances of obtaining residence permits for them all, he resumes his career as a wrestler – and is confronted with why he had to flee. The “why” gets some chilling hints in the trailer which has been online for a while now.
