Final Girls Berlin 2022 Review: Short Films Not So Short on Horror and Entertainment
Before writing for Film Combat Syndicate and beginning to cover awesome fests like the Final Girl Berlin Film Fest that happened last weekend, I never watched many film shorts. But now, after watching so many as part of covering film fests, I am beginning to really enjoy the art of the short film.
SIFU: Get A Kung Fu Blast Out Of The New Live-Action Short Now Online
Etch the name Christopher Clark Cowan in your notes going forward. Cowan is as hands-on as any aspiring film professional I’ve covered on here and his work is proof of it, ranging from ambitious independent short projects like Clandestine and the My Hero Academia-inspired UA:LA, as well as that ONE viral video (you know the one), to working in the fields of stunts and action, and cinematography for several of today’s biggest studio titles for DC, Marvel and Disney/Lucasfilm.
LOGAN THE WOLF: The Action Team Behind ‘The Witcher’ Teases ‘Ultraviolent’ Fan Short With BTS Stills
It’s not everyday you get word that a fine group of stunt performers are working on a little independent short project for themselves when they’re not on the set of a major studio gig. MARGARET: Ellen Hollman Takes On Her True Form In Larnell Stovall’s New Fan-Driven Short Thriller

THE HUNT: SAVAGE WITHIN Asks What Becomes Of The Hunted In Fabien Garcia’s New Sci-Fi Thriller Short
It’s not everyday you read about an independent film project that’s endured more than your average fair share of hurdles along the way. To add, Fabien Garcia’s new sci-fi thriller short, The Hunt: Savage Within, nearly two years in the making with a strenuous two-part crowdfunding effort, also had to mitigate a pre-production period hampered by more sweeping fires across California, along with a deadly viral pandemic that forced much of North America and the rest of the world into lockdown.
