GOLDSTONE: Ivan Sen’s Hit Aussie Crime Drama Gets A September U.S. Release
Mystery Road helmer Ivan Sen’s hit sequel, Goldstone, has already seen a raft of upworthy reviews since opening to Australia audiences in 2016. The film is finally poised for a U.S. DVD/Blu-Ray rollout on September 11 via Lightyear Entertainment and with an announcement as of Tuesday courtesy of MVD: Lightyear Entertainment presents the Australian production Goldstone, a noir thriller set in the Outback. The film was written, directed, shot, edited and composed by Ivan Sen. Indigenous Detective Jay Swan (Aaron Pedersen, Mystery Road) arrives in the frontier town of Goldstone on a missing persons inquiry. Earlier this month, UK distro outlet Eureka Entertainment made way with several 4K restoration announcements debuting in the region on Blu-Ray in the next few months host to the iconic and legendary work of action maestro Jackie Chan. Two of those titles will come packages together for a specialized release for fans with Police Story and Police Story 2 which now come branded with an official trailer ahead of an August release. UK distro outlet Eureka Entertainment has it in for Jackie Chan fans with a few ‘Classics’ re-releases pending this Fall. Chan’s zany 1993 lead rendition as a perverted and lazy, albeit highly-skilled crime fighter in Wong Jing’s adaptation of manga hit, City Hunter, is one of them as of announcements made earlier this month.
