COPPERS: Catch The Trailer For The New Buddy Cop Comedy Now Playing In The Netherlands
Now playing for Dutch audiences is action comedy Coppers. It’s helmed by a trio of directors including lead actors Mohammed Chaara and Sinan Eroglu and filmmaker Jamel Attache who hit the radar for many of us as far back as few decades ago with gangland martial arts flick, Fighting Fish.
Coppers tells the story of two streetwise detectives, Sino and Mo, who solve crimes in an unorthodox way. Sino and Mo have grown up in the same neighbourhood. From an early age, they learned how to get by on the streets and soon they grow up to be two streetwise detectives. When they find a lead that might uncover a massive cocaine smuggling operation, they see it as an opportunity to prove themselves. But their ‘unique’ Turkish and Moroccan investigation techniques lead to the Chief Inspector taking them off the case. They carry on with their investigation in secret and when Sino’s wife Esra gets caught up in the case, they have to go all in to save both their jobs and their family.
The film also stars Melisa Aslı Pamuk, Rose Bertram, Saïd Boumazoughe, Daphne Deckers, Ferdi Stofmeel, Emma Deckers, Estelle Cruijff, Oscar Aerts, Vonneke Bonneke, Izzle, Eljero Elia, Nick Golterman, André Dongelmans, and Julmar ‘Adje’ Simons, and features Dutch Karate champion Soraya Wahjudi. Incredible Film will handle sales for its EFM slate at the 74th Berlinale this month.
Check out the international trailer below, and take in those brief teases of Wahjudi in action to cap it all off. This looks fun!
