CREATION OF THE GODS: KINGDOM OF STORMS Debuts First Official Trailer For Wu Er Shan’s Long-Awaited Fantasy Epic
While there have been multiple adaptations and iterations of the 16th century “Fengshen Yanyi” novel for film and TV, Wu Er Shan (Mojin: The Lost Legend, Painted Skin: The Resurrection) is making his most daring play yet to be the filmmaking face of the franchise. Thus, after six years and with some of the highest expectations ever set for a Chinese film production, Creation Of The Gods: Kingdom Of Storms.
Based on the most well-known classical fantasy novel of China, Fengshenyanyi, the trilogy is a magnificent eastern high fantasy epic that recreates the prolonged mythical wars between humans, immortals and monsters, which happened more than three thousand years ago.
A teaser first arose back in 2019, and of course we can all understand the extent to which its dated 2020 release at the time was delayed, like most films that year. A small price to pay nonetheless, and with a trilogy in the works that will soon commence the theatrical rollout of its first chapter on July 20.
