ECHOES OF THE PAST: Catch The Trailer For Nathan Geering’s New Indie Revenge Actioner

Rising indie action talent Nathan Geering is out with an official trailer for his most recent work, Echoes Of The Past. Screening and release details remain pending while the project which stars Victoria Vee who looks to signal fans and markets as Guyana’s first action actress.
Betrayed by her charming boyfriend James, leading to her sister’s death and the loss of her home, Paige is driven by a thirst for revenge. With the help of Kyle, a street-smart ally, Paige transforms into a fierce warrior and travels from the USA to the UK to hunt him down.
As she confronts James and navigates a dangerous underworld, she must confront her past and the true cost of vengeance. Will she achieve justice, or will her quest merely echo the pain of her past.
Echoes Of The Past also stars Paul Preston and Drew Sinclair, as well as Joe Egan and Mark Silcox. Geering himself also headlines alongside Vee in the film’s addition to his increasing resumĂ© as an actor and director who’s also trained with Jackie Chan’s Stunt Team in Beijing as recently as 2024.
“With this film I really wanted to lean into the development of the lead characters and write something that audiences could relate to,” said Geering in a statement. “Echoes of the Past isn’t just an action film. It’s a love story too! It provides an insight into the emotional dynamics that come with trust and the complexities that arise when that trust is broken. If you’ve ever been in a relationship where you feel like your partner is making you lose your mind then this film will definitely provide some relatable moments and food for thought.”
Geering also spoke highly of his vision for the film’s action sequences, which meant bringing aboard director of photography Bulent Ozdemir-Larusso whose shortfilm work I got to sample in a few projects I got to sample for last year’s Haymaker Film Festival.
“The both of us have had mutual respect for eachother’s work for a number of years and this was a great opportunity for us to collaborate,” Geering added. “Very early on we were able to read each others minds with what shots and framing would be needed to capture the stylised aesthetic both in terms of action and storytelling.”
