With Birmingham in its rearview, the 2024 London edition of the 9th Fighting Spirit Film Festival is set to commence its two-day festivities at the Hackney Picturehouse beginning September 7. We also have the full line-up now making the rounds including fight choreography seminars and workshops, a bevy of in-competition and out-of-competiton shortfilms – 40 in total, and a raft of six features to bookend.

The features namely include Lau Kar Leung’s My Young Auntie in association with Arrow Films, One More Shot with a Q+A featuring director James Nunn, a charity screening of Brandon Woodrin’s feature debut Me And The Dragon’s Daughter, a screening of Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with support from the BFI Film Audience Network and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Neil Marshall’s Duchess, and 88 Films’ revival of Ronny Yu action classic Legacy Of Rage with the late Brandon Lee.
